Overview.
Other than being a busy bunMom to four fluffy cottontails, Milo, Luna, Cola and Lemonade, owner is also developing the gourmet healthy treats online store. It was personally crafted and carefully handpicked from the best selected and premium ingredients' quality, which will be highly loved by your fluffy friends at home.

Concept Brief.
For the brand concept, the client wants to have an illustrative kind of logo. That is to include all the favorite and healthy treats of the bun family to the illustration. Having cute fluff paw friend at the center of the logo should do it.
After hearing the brief, first thing I do was to develop the rabbit drawing. There are lots of pose to be considered, but the clear brief from client about what she wanted, definitely help to speed the process up, such as:
• Client wants to have a cute rabbit pose showing its cotton tail
• Colorful but all in pastel mood
• Having the ingredients to surround the rabbit. There are about 14 ingredients selection from client to be chosen
• Handwritten, legible, classy but cute font to represent the fluff
WORK IN PROGRESS
Sketches.
Below are some sketches I did before starting anything else. With briefs from clients, I tried to experiment on couples of drawing. Different kinds of rabbit shape, direction and position. Since it has to be manual-like, I also tried out some typography for the logo text.

The Cottontales - Sketch Experiment
After presented the initial sketch and determined which shape of rabbit to be made, I moved forward to create the circle of ingredients. There were 14 ingredients from fruits to flowers and vegetables, such as : strawberry, carrot, blueberry, coriander, basil, parsley, rosemary, oregano, thyme, mint, sage, lavender, chamomile and dandelion.

Sketch Composition
Progress.
First progress that I sent to client for approval were these images below. It was developed and colored digitally using Procreate app. Then there were three options differentiated by rabbit's body shape drawing and the logo-text. There were also some options about using outline on rabbit's drawing and without. However, to achieve the manual hand touch that was preferred by client, watercolor painting of the sketch was the next step eventually :D

After finishing the manual drawing, I made a couple of arrangements digitally in Photoshop, fixing up here and there so that the illustrative logo is not too chaotic.
